What We Do!​ Making A Difference in Middleborough!
Annual Support of Activities!Through its fundraising efforts, the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library cover the costs of programs presented at the Library. The Friends provided the staff with over $22,000 in FY 2023.
Collaboration! Our nonprofit provides funds to other Town Departments. It regularly collaborates with the Veterans Agent for the Hometown Heros Project and the Annual Veterans and Family Appreciation Day.
Grant Acquisition! We obtain grants that bring high quality cultural events to the community. This performance was partially funded by a New England State Touring Grant overseen by the New England Foundation of the Arts.
Supplementing Local Awards! We supplement programs that receive some funds from the Local Cultural Council. As its primary funding source, the Friends' fundraising activities play a significant role in the offerings at the library.
Funding Celebrations! We fund prizes for reading contests and cover all costs associated with the annual Teddy Bear Picnic which celebrates our younger readers.
Community Fundraising! The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library organize fundraising events that bring the community together for the benefit of the library.
