Making A Difference in Middleborough!

Annual Support of Activities!
Through its fundraising efforts, the Friends of the Middleborough Public Library cover the costs of programs presented at the Library. The Friends provided the staff with over $22,000 in FY 2023.

Collaboration!
The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library provide funds so that the Library can collaborate with other Town Departments. In May, the library collaborated with the Veterans Agent for the Hometown Heros Project. The Friends covered the costs of the Commemorative Maps and the performance about Deborah Sampson.

Grant Acquisition!
The Friends obtain grants that bring high quality cultural events to the community. This performance was partially funded by a New England State Touring Grant overseen by the New England Foundation of the Arts which is funded by the National Endowment of the Arts.

Supplementing Local Awards!
The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library supplements funding for programs that receive some funds from the Local Cultural Council. As the primary funding source for the library, the Friends' fundraising activities play a significant role in the offerings at the library.

Funding Celebrations!
The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library fund prizes for reading contests held throughout the year. They also cover all costs associated with the annual Teddy Bear Picnic which provides younger reader the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments,

Community Fundraising!
The Friends of the Middleborough Public Library organize fundraising events that bring the community together for the benefit of the library. From Afternoon Teas to Mini-Golf at the Library, there is always something happening.
